Hey Dazzlers! This is your girl, MaKayla. I am a wedding officiant in the Dallas-Fort Worth area.I was ordained by the ULC clergy in 2022. Welcome to your new blog home. I specialize in making your wedding special through my words and enthusiasm as an officiant. My role as an officiant is to lead the wedding ceremony and to legally ordain the marriage. My role is to also make you feel comfortable during the ceremony, and I will also follow your requests on how you want the ceremony to be held. My goal of creating this blog is to provide tips about wedding planning, budget friendly ideas, DIY ideas, and more.
You might be wondering how did I gain an interest in being an officiant specifically? Do you remember those wedding shows, Bridezillas being one that stood out? In those wedding shows I noticed the officiant had a big role in someone’s special day. A lot of people don’t necessarily know all of the roles of an officiant. We don’t plan weddings, but we can provide resources or refer a planner to you. We also do not MC the reception part, typically the DJ is in charge of that. We MC the ceremony, and make sure the legal documents are signed and delivered. Some might say that is easy, but it does take skill to make the couple and audience feel comfortable and warm during the ceremony. I’ve seen some very well-planned ceremonies with a comedic undertone and I’ve seen some ceremonies that were a total borefest. As you can see, I’m very passionate about this topic, and this is one of the reasons as to why I’m creating a blog.
The Dazzling Blog is unique and I aim to help new couples, brides, grooms and more. I’m excited to start this new blog journey of helping people within their relationship. I’ve been in a lot of you all’s shoes and I understand how tedious the process can be when trying to find ideas and tips for a wedding. Some days the process can be fun and other days it can be stressful. With my expertise, I aim to make you enthusiastic, happy and joyful about the process. I’ll keep it real with you, and I will show you different options that you might encounter with your wedding. I’m not just an officiant, I’m also here to support and to recommend other services that I might know of. Why not receive this expertise from someone who is in the wedding business? Even if you are not getting married, these tips might benefit you someday or it might benefit someone you know.
